In order to serve the purpose of this club, here are some guidelines for commenting.
1. critiques only please
2. no flaming. All flames will be hidden on sight
3. No useless criticisms please. That is, comments like "great," "cool," "I liked that" as well as "this sux," "learn to write," "that's really bad"
4. Please try to stick to this method of critiquing:
a.) state a positive about the peice
b.) critique all the negatives
and provide suggestions about how to improve it
c.) state another positive about the peice
All writings have some positives in them. Try and find it. It makes a world of difference to the author, and believe it or not helps you as a writer as well.
5. If you have no suggestions on how to make a peice better, please tell the author why you liked it. That will help them become a more consistent writer
6. If you can't find something positive to say about the peice, please don't comment.
7. Please read author profile before commenting and be sensitive to experience levels.
