FAQ

Hi-lo! :iconmichelay: here.

Here are some questions you may have about the club.

1. Do you have to be a member to critique?

No. Everyone is welcome to critique. But you do have to be a member to submit

2. Do I have to have an account on DA to sumbit works?

No, but it helps. Especially since non-DA users can't comment on the site

3. I sent a membership note to the club/sent an e-mail submission, why haven't I been added?

Update days are on Fridays. Therefore, you will not see your profile page or have your works added to the club until the Friday following your submission.

4. How do I know when my work has received a comment?

Members will have to keep track of their own works, so just keep checking back. Updated works will be on the front page everyweek, so you may just want to fav it so you can find it later. This is the only time where faving at this club is acceptable. (See #5)

5. When faving, do I fave the work at the club or on the author's page?

Please do not add submissions to your favorites. The very nature of the club means that submissions are works in progress, and therefore, faving here makes no sense. If the author feels that it is good enough to put on his/her page, then they will. In such cases, a link will be provided so that you can add the work on the author's page to your favorites.

6. Can I post comic dialogue or scripts?

All genres except those specifically forbidden by the rules are accepted.

7. I'm sensitive to critique. Can you mark my submission as "critique discouraged"?

No. The point of this club is to get advanced critiques.

8. How can I get a revised version of my submission up?

Simply e-mail the revised submission (with formatting done) and let me know it is a revised version. Be sure to tell me who you are and what the title of the original submission was. A link to it will help but is not necessary.

9. I have a story that goes above the PG-13 rating. Will you link to it or put it up if we put a warning on it?

I'm afraid not. In order to cater to most people (can't please everyone), I have to stick to the rating.

10. How can I tell if my story is PG-13?

Try this site: [link] . PG-13 is the equivalent to Rating "T." If your story doesn't match the "T" rating's description or lower (K, K+, or B), then it will not be allowed in this club.

11. What does "WL" mean on my profile page?

Warning level. We will use the "3 strikes; you're out" rule for most infractions. Hopefully I'll never have to use it. =)

12. I don't know DA formatting! Can you help me?

This will help you: FAQ #104: What HTML formatting can we use on deviantART? And what is the format for these codes?

If you still have trouble, note me.

Would it be reasonable for the author to fav the page with their deviation on so that they can locate it without going through their notes? That's what I did, although I'll remove the fav it you think it's better.
